Our rigorous refurbishment process
Inspecting and testing
Each device is meticulously inspected and tested on more than 30 points before receiving Videotron’s certification of proper functioning, confirming performance equivalent to that of a new phone and a hassle-free user experience.
Resetting
The refurbished cell phone is then reset: all data that has ever existed on the device is deleted according to R2v3 certification standards,* and the latest software updates are installed.
Cleaning
Finally, the device is thoroughly cleaned and disinfected, and a protective film is applied to the screen.
Our Perfect cosmetic grade
Each certified refurbished phone receives a cosmetic grade that corresponds to the standards of the Cellular Telecommunications Industry Association (CTIA).* At Videotron, only Perfect phones are available.

A Perfect certified refurbished phone is a device in excellent condition and very little used, on which you may find a few marks of use that are barely visible.

Only phones brought back by our customers when buying a new one are accepted. This means they can’t have been stolen or blacklisted.
Therefore, most of our used cell phones have only been in use for 24 months.
Yes. Videotron offers a 1-year basic warranty on refurbished devices.
Our certification process includes a series of tests that each device must pass 100% before it can be sold as a certified refurbished phone by Videotron. In this way, we ensure that the performance is equivalent to that of a new phone.
Battery life may vary depending on prior usage. When certifying the device, we ensure that the battery is operating at at least 80% of its initial capacity. If not, we will replace it with a new battery. Certified refurbished phones have not been repaired, remanufactured, or refurbished by the original manufacturers.
More than 30 certification points are evaluated on the phone’s main components:
- Battery at least 80% of initial capacity, charging up and displaying correctly
- All connections work, e.g. Wi-Fi, network, Bluetooth, and others
- All buttons, keyboards, and vibration modes work
- Cameras, speakers, and microphones work
- All ports and card slots are fully functional
- Every pixel on the display works, images and colours are clear, sharp, and bright

Videotron Simplified Payment option
This limited-time offer applies to Videotron Residential customers who subscribe, and maintain their subscription to a Mobile plan. Two monthly payments related to the purchase of the device will be recorded on the first invoice.
